I am Rasik Jain, a Software Engineer and Architect based in New Jersey. My current mission is building the next generation of intelligent, AI-native applications. I focus on the intersection of Generative AI and modern Front-end engineering, transforming complex machine learning capabilities into intuitive, high-performance user experiences.

Rather than building simple interfaces, I architect end-to-end systems that can reason. My daily work involves designing Agentic RAG pipelines and sophisticated AI Agents using LangChain and LangGraph. By bridging the gap between raw data and the user, I create applications that leverage LLMs (OpenAI, Gemini, Groq) to solve actual business problems rather than just providing simple chat.

The AI & Data Science Stack

My approach to AI is grounded in the fundamentals of Data Science and Engineering. I spend a significant amount of my time in Jupyter Notebooks and Python, handling everything from Data Ingestion to Feature Engineering and EDA (Exploratory Data Analysis).

• Generative AI: I specialize in building with LCEL (LangChain Expression Language), managing Embeddings, and optimizing retrieval using Vector Databases like Pinecone, ChromaDB, and AstraDB.

• Data & ML: I rely on Pandas and NumPy for data manipulation and use Scikit-learn to build and validate traditional machine learning models.

• NLP Systems: I focus on building reliable NLP systems, utilizing modern architectures to handle complex language processing tasks.

• Engineering Quality: I use Pydantic and Dataclasses for rigorous data validation and Matplotlib to visualize model performance and data trends.

Front-end & Prototyping

A great model is only as good as its accessibility. I leverage my expertise in JavaScript and Node.js to build reactive, fluid front-ends. For rapid AI prototyping and internal tooling, I utilize Streamlit to turn data scripts into shareable web apps. I believe the “AI Engineer” of the future must be a master of the Full-stack, ensuring that the intelligence on the backend feels seamless to the end-user.

Engineering Foundations & Experience

While my current focus is GenAI, my perspective is shaped by over 15 years of experience in the IT industry, working with clients ranging from Fortune 500 enterprises to startups in the NYC area. I have held various positions, from individual contributor to team leader, across verticals like FinTech, Banking and Healthcare sectors.

I spent years architecting scalable, mission-critical systems using .NET and C# for global institutions like JPMorgan Chase and American Express. This foundation of engineering rigor—incorporating Agile/Scrum methodologies, process automation, and CI/CD—is what I bring to the “new school” AI world. It ensures that the Data Engineering pipelines I build today are not just innovative prototypes, but are also secure, scalable, and maintainable for production use.

I hold a Master’s degree from Florida International University (FIU), which provided the academic foundation to complement my extensive practical experience in the field.

To stay abreast of evolving technologies, I am an avid reader of technical blogs and enjoy engaging in discussions on platforms like Hacker News and Indie Hackers. Outside of work, I have a passion for travel, reading, and spending quality time with my family.
